I started out switching into this class because it was the most appealing from the other choices I had for a first hour class. I came in hading already taken a media class and I owned a pretty nice camera for taking pictures at home. When we first took composition pictures using various techniques, it gave me a chance to start getting back into cameras since it had been awhile since I used a camera. Some of my favorites include: Composition was fun because we had freedom to do whatever. Next assignment that interested me was shutter & aperture. I further learned more about shutter speed and aperture on a camera, I used to be confused when it came to the subject. The assignment helped me get used to manual mode, which was new for me. Here are some of the pictures I took: The photo assignments is where I really grew though. We did 7 assignments and I enjoyed taking pictures for every one. It helped me understand how to use shutter speed, aperture, and ISO to take a better picture. Here are some of my favorites: With good photos come bad photos. Part of learning is experimenting, which doesn't always work out in the end. Using photoshop was probably the most fun thing about this class. The possibilities with photoshop seem endless. The assignments we received were pretty balanced, they were fun and not too hard. Some of my favorites include: Looking back, my skill with both cameras and photoshop improved greatly. I have no regrets switching into this class. I'm pretty happy with my overall success in this class and I would consider taking another photography class or even a video class.
